FAREWELL FIESTA
Make plans to Join us on May 5th for our Farewell Fiesta from 5:30-7:00 pm to see familiar faces and say goodbye to our building. There will be chips, dips, and drinks served as we celebrate the memories made over the years! Class photo collages will be auctioned off, and other special mementos will be available to purchase! PTO INFORMATION
Charlestown Elementary PTO Information-The Pleasant Ridge PTO & Jonathan Jennings PTO are working together to make BIG plans for our brand new Charlestown Elementary PTO for the 2025 – 2026 school year! This is your opportunity to be a part of something fun and ground breaking in our school community and to create an exciting new environment for our kids and educators.

PR Kindness Challenge – The PTO will be sponsoring a kindness challenge that starts on Monday! Each classroom will be striving to earn 10 kindness hearts over the next two weeks. Kindness hearts will be awarded by the classroom teacher when they see students demonstrating kindness and being a good friend to others. At the end of the two weeks, every classroom that earns 10 kindness hearts will be invited to a special movie day! The movie will be shown during the school day and the PTO will provide popcorn and a drink to each student! The movie will be shown on Friday, April 11th. To help your child’s classroom earn their kindness hearts, please talk to your child about ways to show kindness at school.
PR McPirate Night- April 8th from 4pm – 7pm. The PTO will receive 20% of all INSIDE DINING ROOM sales, so make sure to come in and order your food. The PTO will provide a fun bookmark craft for kids to work on while you wait for your order.
PR PTO Meeting- April 9th at 6pm in the PR cafeteria.This month will be a super fun baseball theme with yummy ballpark snacks! In case you haven’t gotten enough of those. We will also have activities for the kids. This will be our last PR PTO Meeting. Our May meeting will be a joint meeting with JJ and we will reveal the elected board members for the new CES PTO!
2025/2026 SCHOOL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will open on Monday, March 24, 2025. Snapcode letters were mailed to all current preschool-eleventh grade students.

2025/2026 PRESCHOOL APPLICATION INFORMATION
The application process for the Greater Clark County Schools Preschool program opens April 1st! Please visit the link Preschool | Greater Clark County Schools to access the application on/after April 1, 2025. Please note that the application will not open until 9am on April 1st. All preschool spots will be dependent upon availability and completion of the registration process.
GCCS ELEMENTARY ART SHOW
Make plans to visit the GCCS Art Show April 10th-19th at the NOCO Art and Cultural Center in Jeffersonville, IN. There will be an Artists’ Reception Friday, April 11th from 5-7 pm. Click on the link to see different times the exhibit will open so you can plan your visit! GCCS Art Show
CHARLESTOWN HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL CAMP
Be on the lookout for permissions slips for the CHS end of the year Basketball Camp! The K-2 dates are set for May 5th-May 8th. PR students will walk from PR to CHS with the CHS coaching staff. The camp will run from 3:30-5:00 pm.
